JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTSScheduled Weekly Hours: TBD
Work Shift: Hours range 6AM to 6PM (Mon-Friday)
Job Summary: Responsible for the transportation of employees and supplies from designated pick-up areas of the hospital campus to parking areas or departments. Assists in all areas of Materials Management, as needed:
- Courier is responsible for the delivery and pick up of mail, supplies, labs, and medical records to/from requesting departments and satellite offices. The hours of operation are 7:30am to 6:00pm as needed.
- Receiving Clerk is responsible for the transport of supplies from the Receiving Dock to requesting locations on the Hospital Campus. The hours of operation are from 5:00am to 4:00pm as needed.
- Central Distribution Clerk is responsible for the transport of supplies from the central storeroom to requesting locations within the Hospital Campus, replenishing shelves in Central Storeroom with new product, unpacking and discarding cardboard boxes in the compactor, assisting with tote distribution, filling outside requisitions for ordering departments. The hours of operation are from 6:00am to 2:30pm.
- Mail Clerk is responsible for the proper distribution and processing of internal and external mail. Operates and maintains mail machine. Hours of operation are from 10:00am to 2:00pm.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma; Driver's License required (CDL not required). Driving experience preferred. Must maintain a safe driving record. Must have interpersonal skills when dealing with all levels of hospital personnel. Must provide good customer service. Must be able to lift at least 50-60 pounds. Must be able to maneuver a pallet jack and supply carts when working as Receiving Clerk.Must have a valid and current state issued driver's license. Must maintain and provide proof of automobile insurance (at his/her own expense) in amounts which meet at least the minimum liability coverage limits required by the state of their residence. Clearance of driving record check; Driving records shall not contain any of the following: a suspended or revoked driver's license, 3 or more moving violations in the past 36 months, 2 or more accidents in the past 36 months, 1 or more instances of driving under the influence (DUI) or driving while intoxicated (DWI )within the past 24 months, at fault in a fatal accident within the past 5 years, leaving the scene of an accident within the past 36 months, and/or reckless driving within the past 12 months.
Physical Demands: Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting up to 50 pounds is required.
