The ideal candidate will have flexibility in skills to meet customer needs. Experience with one or more of the following types of equipment/processes is preferred:
- Roll Forming
- Brake Press
- Thermal Machining Center
- CNC Saw
The ability to read blueprints, strong math skills, understanding of machining principles, and basic welding fundamentals are all important for this position. This opening is for day shift with a flexible work schedule available (4/10's or regular Monday - Friday) after training.Job Responsibilities:
- Roll Forming: Sets up and operates rolling machines to straighten, knurl, or form contours in metal cylinders and rings as specified by blueprints, templates, and work orders.
- Brake Press: Sets up and operates hydraulic presses to form metal plates or structural shapes based on blueprint or sketch specifications.
- Thermal Machining Center: Sets up and operates thermal cutting machines to cut metal plates and structural shapes to specified dimensions, contours, and bevels.
- CNC Saw: Responsible for setting up and operating vertical contour-band saws to cut straight, curved, irregular, or internal patterns in metal stock according to specifications, using sawing techniques.
Job Qualification Requirements:
- Minimum High School diploma or GED required.
- Trade school, vocational education, work experience, or apprenticeship is preferred.
- Related skill set or training/work experience of at least three months is preferred.
