Job Description:
- This role is for a Materials Specialist to support the Warren County Power Station.
- You would report to the O&M Manager and support various other members of the team with LR projects in coordinating with Project Management, Supply Chain Management, and Client Leadership in developing and processing requisitions for engineered materials and services.
- Additionally, the role documents and tracks procurements as needed by the Project Management team.
- Maintain an inventory of all project stock items.
- You may be asked to oversee/escort contractors during various projects.
Responsibilities:
- Mechanical aptitude, experience in a plant situation a plus
- Experience on Construction sites with relation to LOTO and Safety
- Comfortable walking around an industrial power plant.
- Self-Motivated to constantly improve the operation of the station and efficiency of the work environment for all involved parties
- Financial Sense to achieve cost savings for Client.
- Organized/Clean
- Project management experience if possible
- Ability to communicate with parties at all levels of business (sales reps, working with Union employees, working in the field, working at desk, or the occasional tough discussion)
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of SAP (this will be tested during interview)
- Ability to manage multiple activities, resources, and task priorities
- Must have direct hands-on experience as a Material specialist
- Must have direct hands-on experience with Supply Chain Management
- Demonstrates self-motivation
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to lead, collaborate, and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams. This would include a strong safety mindset.
- Good customer service skills
- Strong computer skills
- 5+ years directly related experience hands on in a Materials Specialist role
Education:
- Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education
- Preferred: Engineering or SCM degree
