Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and other legal documents
- Conduct legal research and summarize findings for attorney review
- Prepare and organize discovery, including document production and interrogatories
- Maintain case files, track case deadlines, and manage the case calendar
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, court appearances, depositions, and mediations
- Prepare financial affidavits, child support worksheets, and other financial documentation
- Communicate professionally and empathetically with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Assist with trial preparation, including compiling exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders
- Support drafting settlement agreements, parenting plans, and other family law documents
- Manage client billing and track time entries in the firm's billing system
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience specializing in family and divorce law
- Experience drafting pleadings, including complaints and answers
- Proficiency with Statements of Net Worth, Financial Disclosure Affidavits, and Child Support worksheets
- Familiarity with billable hourly requirements
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams, and Zoom
- Knowledge of Clio software preferred
