DescriptionRole Title: MDFM Commercial Optimisation LeadLocation: New York City Salary / Rate Minimum - 250,000 USDSalary / Rate Maximum- 300,000 USDWhat will you be doing MDFM is the Utility provider for the procurement of Market Data to Barclays global businesses providing high quality, timely and comprehensive data. Achieved in a business insight driven manner using industry leading technology, such that it reduces the risk and total cost of data ownership.Specifically, this Director will be responsible for the Market Data Strategy and Transformation team. This team support the delivery of strategic changes funded by the business as well as operational changes across the systems and processes performed by the MFDM BAU team.• Accountable for leading delivery of a transformation programme being tracked by the IBMT as one of 14 strategic priorities for the IB. Responsible for delivery of 5 distinct programmes of work with the expectation of delivery of a displacement strategy across the firm for 35+ displacements into 6 or 7 strategic partner vendors• The jobholder will be required to develop a team of Market Data SMEs, managing a team of Programme Managers globally in the delivery of the Market Data Strategy, as well as performing a coaching and development role for direct reports• The jobholder will be responsible for enhancing the Change Management culture within the function, developing and managing effective relationships with key business areas/stakeholders at all levels across the BankBy delivering these responsibilities, the role holder will drive tangible P&L benefits to the firm which will bring Market Data spend in line with industry benchmarking. The individual will lead collaboration across Business, Technology, Operations, Risk, Finance and MDFM to ensure we get the most out of the market data vendors we partner; delivering like for like services and leverage economies of scale, whilst still retaining the necessary niche data vendors that remain critical for some teams and colleagues.Key AccountabilitiesManagement and Leadership • Act as a member of the MDFM Leadership Team leading and driving change in culture and process as required• Act as regional lead / ambassador for MDFM in the Americas region, advocating for and advancing the MDFM strategy. Act as point of escalation in region for MDFM related matters, owning and managing issues through to resolution (drawing on skills/resource of the wider MDFM team in region and globally)• Lead initiatives across MDFM to deliver first class BAU and execution of our strategy, leveraging off the collective resource and capabilities of the Leadership Team and BAU Team• Manage the MDFM Strategy and Transformation team to be a high performing team with a culture of continuous improvement and active risk management• An integral member of the MDFM Leadership team, displaying high levels of leadership and transformational abilities, striving for continuous improvement across MDFM services.
