POSITION SUMMARY:Under the direction of the Director of Nursing-LTC, coordinates all Medicare assessments, care planning and reimbursement activities for the facility to assure compliance with regulatory agencies.QUALIFICATIONS:EDUCATION:Minimum:Graduate from a Registered Professional Nursing Program.Preferred:BSNLICENSE:Minimum:Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse licensePROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:Minimum:BLS through RQI upon hirePreferred :Certification in MDS and PRIWORK EXPERIENCE:Minimum:Familiarity with documentation requirements for reimbursement.Knowledge of New York State Department of Health regulations, and survey process.MDS, and care planning experience.SKILLS:Minimum:Demonstrated leadership abilities.Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner.Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling.Computer literacyPreferred :Experience with Microsoft Office products and MDS/care planning softwareSalary Range: $38.01-$42.00
