SHIFT:Full-Time, Days (8:00AM-4:30PM) PAY RATE: $$15.00-$18.00 (depending on experience) JOB DESCRIPTION: The MDS Associate assists the Resident Care Coordinator to facilitate mds related workflow systems. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Verifies all ADT events
  • Track Admissions/Discharges and organizes/circulates paperwork according to established procedures.May include, but no limited to the following:
    • Receiving/forwarding hospital screens
    • Medicare determinations from & ICD9 coding
    • Gather information to fax to insurance providers as indicated
    • Process room rate changes
    • Process Medicare exhaust and discharge letters
    • Bi-weekly update reports to insurance provider(s) as indicated
  • Request specific medical information on a resident as needed from other facilities.
  • Email daily submission list to TMG
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience in Medical Records and computer applications desirable.
  • Able to work under minimum supervision while cooperating with departmental heads and other staff members
  • Respect for residents' privacy and rights; display of genuine concern and empathy for the elderly
  • Qualities of responsibility and diplomacy
