Position Overview:

As the MDS Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the quality of care for our residents by conducting comprehensive assessments using the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) and the Minimum Data Set (MDS). You will gather valuable information from residents and their families during initial and periodic interviews, and use this information to develop and implement individualized care plans. The role also involves ensuring that all strategies comply with medical and ethical standards. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing MCR/Managed Care MDS updates and care plans.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct and coordinate assessments using the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) and Minimum Data Set (MDS).

- Interview residents and their families during initial and periodic assessments.

- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans based on assessment data to ensure the effectiveness of care.

- Ensure all strategies comply with medical and ethical standards.

- Take responsibility for all **MCR/Managed Care MDS updates and care plan documentation**.

- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the best care outcomes for residents.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for compliance and regulatory purposes.

Qualifications:

- Active RN license to practice in the state of Arkansas.

- MDS experience preferred.

- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, and team members.

- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high-quality care standards.

Delegation of Authority:

As the MDS Coordinator, you are entrusted with the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary to carry out the duties of this position and contribute to the high standards of care at The Springs of Brinkley.
