Job Type Full-time Description Engage Consulting is seeking an experienced Ohio-based MDS Nurse to work remotely and focus exclusively on MDS tasks for Skilled Nursing Facilities across the state. This role is ideal for candidates familiar with Ohio's specific reimbursement guidelines and who are looking for a structured, remote work environment without on-call duties. As part of our team, you'll work with a network of facilities in Ohio to ensure accurate MDS assessments, Case Mix management, PDPM, and Quality Measure optimization. We offer comprehensive orientation, skill-set training, and nursing contact hours for continuing education. Requirements Essential Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, complete, and submit OBRA and Medicare MDS assessments following RAI Guidelines and Ohio-specific reimbursement practices.
- Develop and review resident-specific care plans with an interdisciplinary team.
- Participate in key meetings remotely and in-person in Ohio facilities, including Quality Measure and Medicare/Utilization Review.
- Complete audits and reviews to ensure accuracy in reimbursement and quality measure management specific to Ohio regulations.
- Stay updated on state and federal standards, CMS requirements, and Ohio-specific SNF regulations.
- Support Engage Consulting's Senior Practice Manager and Director of Clinical Consulting as requested.
- Maintain proficiency with EMR systems such as Point Click Care and Matrix Care.
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Active RN or LPN license, Ohio-based preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in MDS completion within an Ohio SNF.
- Certification: AAPACN Resident Assessment Coordinator Certification (RAC-CT) preferred.
- Skills: Knowledge of Ohio SNF Reimbursement, Case Mix Management, PDPM, and RAI guidelines. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
