Meal Site Coordinator/ Manager Job DescriptionUnder the supervision of the Jewish Community Center of Atlantic County, the Meal Site Coordinator/ Manager is responsible for directing and operating an efficient, enjoyable and safe nutrition site to include proper food handling and sanitation, coordination of volunteers, care of the sites facilities during program hours, and coordination of site activities.Day to Day Meals Ensure all participants sign in upon arrival using the provided sign in sheets. Maintains a weekly reservation sheet to be used to reserve meals a week in advance. Organize a volunteer base to assist where necessary to achieve a well-run site. This can be in an administrative capacity or with food handling Record temperature of all food upon arrival as well as no more than 15 mins prior to serving Order supplies from county weekly with one emergency request per year. No more than 5 percent deviation from reserved meal count monthly. Deposit all donations daily to the Atlantic County maintained bank account.Record Keeping Maintains up to date and complete registration forms on all participants. Have all participants sign in upon arrival. Keep accurate daily, weekly, and monthly records. Timely submission of reports- by the fifth of every month. Keep accurate count of all donations.Ongoing Responsibilities Coordinate transportation for participants. Coordinate/provide at least one non meal activity per day. Completes a monthly calendar of events. Interacts with and maintains a positive relationship with senior participants. Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local policies. Ensure that the nutrition site complies with all applicable licensing laws and ordinances relating to food service operations, including Chapter XII of the State Sanitary Code. Provide a variety of recreational, informational, and/ or health related programs and activities such as the following: Education: discussion groups and approved speakers that promote personal enrichment and knowledge such as health, consumerism, retirement planning, the aging process, music, art, literacy and intergenerational programs. Physical activity: Planned and structured activities aimed at improving or maintaining a persons physical health.
