Fresh, seasonal, and variety of foods are our passion!We're immediately hiring associates for our Meat department and produce clerks are needed! *This is a summary of some key duties and physical requirements and is not intended to be a complete job description.Benefits/Perks Employee Discounts Paid Sick Leave Health Insurance Supplemental Insurance available for Life and Disability Insurance 401 K (after one year)ESSENTIAL DUTIES in Meat Department (Meat Clerk) (responsibilities include, but are not limited to): Stocking and unpacking Meat Setting up and maintaining the condition of the Meat Department according to company standards Ensures Meat is handled, stocked, rotated and merchandised Checks product area temperature to ensure freshness and quality Processing and/or wrapping Meat items prior to filling designated areas Cutting, labeling, and wrapping Meat Operating pallet jack, scissor lift, baler, compactor and scrub machine Maintaining cleanliness of the store/ store upkeep Must clean and sanitize work areas Work Environment will be in extreme temperatureCustomer Service: Providing premier customer service, including greeting them and responding to questions Engaging in suggestive selling and other sales techniques Meets or exceeds Department's sales goals assigned through the efficient execution of Company policies and procedures Maintains cleanliness of work area, storage area, and selling floor Ensures a safe and clean work environment Cross Training: Store Support Associates exemplify teamwork and are open to and willing to be trained and step in when needed in all departments and similar skilled areas for filling and development opportunities.QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED equivalent Must be 18 or older to use sharp knives, use ladders, scaffolds or their substitutes, substitutes above 6 feet in height, and to operate or assist in operating power-driven machinery or equipment. Must be able to use job related equipment such as slicer, scale, saw, knife and wrapper No experience required, but a minimum of 1-2 years of work experience in a similar work environment is preferred Experience as a Produce Clerk is preferred Possess a CA Food Handling license or the ability to acquire one Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds without aid Exposure to potential hazards exists with respect to equipment and work aides necessary to perform job duties.
