Primary Responsibilities: As an Assembler, you will be responsible for all activities related to the assembly of electronic components for the GETS Program. Duties may include:
- non-repetitive assembly operations
- working from diagrams and drawings
- mechanical assembly
- soldering to J-STD-001 standards
- building prototype assemblies
- cable assembly
- circuit board assembly
- complex wiring
- using hand and power tools
- using manufacturing software and Microsoft Office for work documentation
- Diligent documentation for future builds
Basic Qualifications:
- Ability to work and learn in a team environment.
- Ability to work with functional departments.
- High School diploma or equivalent and minimum of 1 year of prior relevant experience.
- Experience with soldering and assembling electronics / electronics components and familiar with electronic assembly industry standards, including ESD practices and procedures.
- Must have J-STD-001 and IPC620 soldering Certification or ability to obtain (position contingent of obtaining).
- Ability to interpret drawings and follow written instructions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, etc)
- Costpoint experience is a plus.
- Ability to follow safety protocols.
- Ability to maneuver 25 lbs. with assistance.
- Experience in defense contracting environment with multiple ongoing projects/contracts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current J-STD-001 soldering Certification. (not required)
- Rework experience
1. 2 to 5 years of experience in building cables know how to read drawings and cable run sheet. Using hand crimp tools, DMC, Molex, Terminal lug crimper, Client, Hirose, JST tool and BNC crimper. 2. Must have knowledge of industry of electronic, Must be familiar with connector, Molex, Client, AMP, Cannon, JST, Hirose, Mil spec, Cannon etc. 3. Must have 2 to 5 years of experience of soldering PC board surface mount and through-hole components and Mil Connector. 4. Prefer not required IPC-620 and IPC-J-STD-001.#ZR
