Job Summary
The General Mechanic Maintenance Technician performs general maintenance and repair work at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children. Repairs may be performed independently or in assistance with Facilities Team. The Hospital and Clinic operations requires quick response to system and equipment failures. This role requires day-to-day coordination of building maintenance (reactive and preventive).
Essential Functions
* Install, repair and maintain various equipment and building finishes
* Programs clocks as necessary.
* Repairs tools and orders parts for repair as
* Performs preventive maintenance on equipment as necessary.
* Aid specialty mechanics as needed.
* Depending on work location may install and repair hospital signage and completes work
* Complete work orders through Computerized Work Order Management System
* Participates in all aspects of construction in house and contracted out projects.
* Maintains records and equipment preparation in relation to inspections requirements.
* Perform other tasks throughout facility as directed which may include but not limited to electrical, plumbing, mechanical, painting and carpenter tasks
