ChampionX has an immediate need for a Mechanic Helper located in Odessa, TX. The Mechanic Helper is responsible for assisting other shop employees with washing, tear down, cleaning, disassembling and reassembling units, minor welding, and painting units.

What You Will Do:
* Wash incoming units from the field to prep for inspection.
* Tear down and internally clean vessels.
* Tear down units, disassemble pumps for inspection.
* Minor welds on bracing for piping, etc.
* Paint units.
* Reassemble units, prep for test.
* Knows and complies with all safety policies and procedures.
* Contributes to the department's continuous improvement culture.
* Maintains confidentiality of all matters.
* Other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
* This safety-sensitive role may be subject to employer or customer drug testing
* One year of experience in a related field.
* Good oral and written communication skills
* Good math skills
* Good analytical and critical thinking skills
* Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work with minimal supervision
* Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite
* Read, write, and speak English fluently

Preferred Qualifications:
* Oil and gas industry experience.

* Work may require visits to customer field locations in a variety of weather and temperature conditions.
* May include working nights, weekends, and/or extended hours as the business need arises.
