What's your day like?
As a Full-Time Mechanic I at the City of Pharr, you will play a crucial role in keeping the city's vehicle fleet running smoothly. Your responsibilities will include performing routine maintenance on City vehicles and executing tire repairs, including installation and replacement. You will diagnose and repair various systems, such as brakes, cooling, steering, and suspension, while also conducting minor tune-ups. Additionally, you will assist fellow mechanics when needed and undertake repairs and overhauls of trucks and other engineering equipment. Your skills may also be put to use in welding tasks, ensuring all repairs meet safety standards.
