Job Description:
Shift: M-F: 7am-4pm, on call overtimePay: $21Job Duties:
  • Independently operate, diagnose, troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic systems.
  • Work with PLC programing.
  • Understand engineering documentations such as sketches, drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, logic diagrams and give feedback to immediate supervisor on possible discrepancies with said documents.
  • Diagnose/troubleshoot equipment system failures, isolate cause and take necessary corrective action
  • Troubleshoot/analyze/repair PLC equipment to module level
  • Evaluate/assist with engineering in the uses of current and future PLC equipment
  • Make sketches and instructions when needed
  • Coach Electrical Technicians when needed
  • Use various tools to include standard electronic hand tools, precision measuring instruments, shop equipment (drill press, grinder, saws, etc.), fabrication equipment (wire-wrap, crimp and solder station), as necessary to accomplish assigned work
  • Observe and follow all safety policies and procedures in compliance with the organizational rules. Responsible for his/her safety as well as awareness of team safety.
  • Read job specifications and work orders to plan work procedures
  • Diagnose and repair engine issues with or without computer software
  • Diagnose and repair chassis, electrical system issues with or without computer software
  • Understand hydraulic and pneumatic concepts
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and toolbox
  • Possible 5% to 10% of scheduled travel for service calls
  • Ability to work independently and understand the importance of teamwork
  • Ability to follow instructions and be professional
Requirements:
  • Pass background and drug test
  • Valid driver's license and pass and Motor Vehicle Record check
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Work in a garage or outside on shop grounds or elsewhere on the airfield
  • Must be willing to work weekends, holidays and additional shifts as assigned
  • Must have minimum tools to perform the maintenance and repair work
