Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board Seeking a skilled Mechanic to perform mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance on a wide variety of the Park Board's fleet of vehicles and equipment (including commercial motor vehicles). Skilled work includes, but not limited to: electrical systems, hydraulic systems, fuel systems, transmissions, and gas/diesel engines. Mechanic performs work in a timely manner to ensure safe, economical, efficient and timely equipment operation and longevity. The Equipment Shop operates with Mechanics working in two shifts. Employees are assigned to work day shift hours (7:00AM- 3:30PM, Monday- Friday) or night shift hours (3:00PM- 11:30PM, Monday- Friday) based on seniority. Current vacancy is for a night shift Mechanic (3:00PM- 11:30PM), Monday through Friday.
