We are currently looking for an Equipment Mechanic at our location at the OHare International Airport, in Chicago IL, We offer full-time employees the following: competitive compensation, benefits, paid time off. Mechanic will perform routine maintenance as well as minor/major repairs of Forklifts, automobiles. Repairs are made indoors or outdoors on the ramp. Responsibilities include repairing and overhauling ground support equipment, performing troubleshooting of all support equipment, maintaining equipment in a safe condition, performs preventative and routine maintenance servicing, keeping tools and support equipment in safe and operational working conditions, keeping work areas clean and free of hazards. Shift Hours: 07:00-15:30 Monday through Friday (Must be open to Weekends for Emergencies) Requirements -Must have own tools -Have good attendance and be punctual -Must be safety-minded -Able to speak and understand English -Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and varying times -Must have reliable transportation -Must be able to pass a drug test and a 10 year background check with US Customs and Chicago Airport Authorities -Prior warehouse/logistics experience and/or forklift experience is always a plus -Knowledge of Yale Forklifts is a plus. -2+ years of GSE Mechanic experience is preferred
