Duties and Responsibilities:
- Diagnose issues, maintain and repair fleet equipment such as vehicles and trailers, along with heavy equipment such as bulldozers, backhoes, excavators, and plows
- Schedule preventative and daily repairs on equipment
- Inspect, operate and test equipment to ensure proper functioning of equipment and it's components
- Perform safety checks to avoid DOT, OSHA, and safety violations and keep machines in excellent operating condition
- Safety training as required by position
- Paperwork filing and maintenance as needed
Essential Education and Qualifications:
- Must have the level of knowledge and skills necessary to diagnose and repair fleet and heavy equipment
- Must have the ability to work and communicate effectively with employees and customers
- Ability to use hand tools to repair equipment
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with hydraulics and electrical
- Experience working in the field ideal
- Class A Driver's License
Physical Demands:
- Requires endurance to stand, stoop, bend and work on and under equipment for long periods of time
