Mechanic Technician to join our vehicle sustainment team. The selected candidate will provide maintenance and logistics support to multiple families of vehicles globally on the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program.

without an
ACTIVE German/E.U. Work Visa will be required to work the
first 60 days in a
Temporary role while obtaining their Visa
. Once an E.U. Work Visa is approved, then you will be offered a
Full-Time German Contract . If accepted, then you will be subjected to paying German taxes, obtaining German Healthcare, and working within the guidelines of the German labor system.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Repairs, rebuilds or overhauls major assemblies of internal combustion automobiles, buses, trucks or tractors.
- Work involves replacing worn or broken parts such as piston rings, bearings, or other engine parts; grinding and adjusting valves; rebuilding carburetors; overhauling transmissions; and repairing fuel injection, lighting and ignition systems.
- Performs other, related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:- Must obtain or already have an active Germany/E.U. Work VISA to be considered.
- 6+ years of qualified automotive maintenance experience.
- Qualified mechanical experience includes one or more of the following: light or heavy-duty trucks, tractors, tactical vehicles, aviation ground support systems, generators, power plants, aircraft or any diesel or gasoline powered equipment or vehicle.
- Proven maintenance experience with repair and technical experience, background in industrial manufacturing, commercial maintenance or military operations or maintenance.
- Experience with maintenance support to include operations, system troubleshooting, engineering, design, installation, analysis, maintenance and repair of U.S. systems and subsystems to component level.
- Experience with a variety of hand tools, diagnostic tools, power tools, multi-meters
- Experience applying industry and/or military standard troubleshooting procedures to isolate faulty system components.
- Ability to meet the government deployment physical requirements, if needed.
- Ability to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening.
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Possession of a valid European or German driver 's license is required (OR) the ability to obtain a valid driving license before beginning employment.
Desired Qualifications:- Possession of an existing German or European Work VISA.
- Prior training or maintenance experience on MRAP FOV systems.
- Experience with MRAP/RCV systems.
- Willingness to travel to hostile areas.
- Willingness to travel to various US or OCONUS locations.
- Willingness to deploy to all/any of these locations, including Southwest Asia and South-Central Asia.
Security Clearance Requirements:- Must be able to obtain and maintain a ( DoD) Public Trust clearance.
Physical Requirements:- Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and knee.
- Must be able to push, pull, and reach.
- Must be able to work in high noise areas.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs and small parts.
- Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard.
