Overview:Assist Ride Maintenance in the repair of rides and attractions, perform welding operations as required, fabricate parts, work with tools and other equipment.Responsibilities:Weld items as specified by layoutsAbility to read blueprints, diagrams, work orders, and welding proceduresMust be able to weld in a flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead positionsPrepare parts for repairOperate welding equipment, and machines as requiredAbility to work at heights, including aerial lifts, crane baskets and catwalksMust have knowledge of common NDT proceduresMaintain accurate records of repairs and inspections, including parts or supplies used by labor hoursMaintain a clean and safe work areaQualifications:High School Diploma/GEDMust join Laborers UnionEffective communication skills and maintain accurate recordsAble to work at heights, including from catwalks, aerial lifts, crane baskets, scaffolding, and structure climbAbility to demonstrate experience in electronic, electrical, and mechanical workMechanical aptitude and experience with hand toolsAbility to follow manufacturer's manuals and blue printsWilling to work various shifts and days with the ability to work nights, weekends and holidays to meet business needsAbility to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial lawAbility to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial lawCedar Fair Entertainment Company is an equal opportunity employer.
