Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs any assembly-type functions, using hand and power tools
- Operates overhead cranes, forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Weld, grind, and use pneumatic power tools
- Operates any equipment needed to perform job
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
- Analyze engineering drawings and build to print
- Hitch rig, roll, flip and move large equipment
- Load trucks for shipping
- Effectively communicate with others
- Performs related duties as needed by supervision
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of high school education
- 1 year of related factory experience
- Skills in automotive, plumbing, HVAC, or carpentry are transferable
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand (approximately 90% of the time).
- The employee frequently is required to use hand to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and climb or balance.
- The employee is frequently required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee is frequently required to work from a ladder or platform.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to vibration.
- The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
