General Summary: Location: Brookshire, TexasElectromechanical Technician (EMT) will be responsible for the mechanical assembly of complete packages and subassemblies as described by shop orders and detailed in the associated drawings. Additionally, the EMT will be responsible for the performance test and in some instances, field commissioning as well as service of principle products involvingsupplied motors and electrical controls. The general scope of the assembly includes installing controls panels on packaged systems and subsystems, sizing and running electrical conductors and conduit on packaged systems and stand alone product, installing software and firmware files to appropriate product, programming operational parameters for software driven product, installing peripheral devices such as temperature and pressure devices.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Assembles/Disassemble of pump units having close tolerances and critical operating requirementsComplete electrical wiring, sizing and running conductors and conduit as needed on both single units and packaged systems allowing for single point electrical connectionProgram system parameters allowing for a functional test of individual pumps and/or packaged systemsRecord instrument readings as requiredOperates drill presses, punch presses or riveting machines to assist in assembly operationMust be able to proficiently operate a forkliftMust be able of operating other heavy equipment as neededWithin the scope of the job requirements, will be required to adhere to the Company's ISO Quality Program and procedures, Company policies and Safety and Environmental Regulations.Comply with all health and safety initiatives to ensure the Company remains a safe workplace.Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Proficiency in the use of mechanical tools including measuring devices, impact wrenches as well as other air hand toolsCompetency at the vocational level math such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing for the purpose of calculating material fabrication and test resultsMust possess an understanding of basic electrical principles and safetyCapable of selecting, operating and reading electrical/electronic testing and inspection instruments and/or devicesAbility to use mechanical and electrical aptitude to problem-solving and troubleshoot issuesProficiency in the use of Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word and Power Point.Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally, in English to give and receive information.Proficiency in the Spanish language is an asset.Education and Experience:High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is preferred with 5 or more years experience building, assembling and wiring pumps and/or packaged systemsExperience with electrical schematics and exposureExperience with vertical and/or horizontal pump assembly.Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $18.00 - $19.00
