Synerfac is seeking a Mechanical Assembler for our client in Newport News, VA. Our client is a leader in custom precision sheetmetal manufacturing on the East Coast. Responsibilities: - Assemble large, complex parts according to work instructions and/or blueprints. - Install nuts, bolts, rivets etc by hand or with hand tools. - Apply masking tape, rubber plugs & caps to sheet metal parts, hardware and holes prior to parts being powder coated. Removing caps, plugs & tape after coating has been done. - Hang parts on conveyor line & remove parts. - Identify, count, and label parts. - Package finished parts for shipping. - Move pallets with pallet jack. - Load and Unload Powder Coating Conveyor Line of sheet metal fabricated parts. Job Requirements - 2+ years of working with/reading sheet metal shop blueprints. - 2+ years of assembling (sheetmetal preferred). - Have experience using power tools. - Identify metric and standard hardware. - Have strong mechanical skills. - Be able to lift 50-75 lbs, stand, walk, sit, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, reach and perform repetitive hand and finger movements. - Be able to work in cold or hot temperatures in plant.
