ATS Company: SP IndustriesRequisition ID: 13186Location:Gardiner, NY, US, 12525Date: Nov 5, 2024Mechanical AssemblerATS Scientific Products, is expanding our team and we have an immediate opening for a Mechanical Assembler to help take the Gardiner, NY plant to the next level.Essential DutiesPrepare and assemble various segments of mechanical systems and top level assemblies, as well as lower level components and subassemblies under the direction of the immediate supervisorInterpret and use drawings, process procedures and other written documentation to complete the preparation and assembly of componentsFabricate simpler components using various items including hand tools, power tools, fixtures, jigs, drills, taps, saws and other toolsForm, prepare and align copper, brass and plastic piping; along with associated bracketingBraze, solder and bond pipingMount various assemblies and componentsPerform metal treatment processes per documented procedures and work instruction processes - include polishing, painting and passivationMeet documented specification requirements and quality standards in a cost effective and timely mannerUse various types of material handling equipment including hand trucks, carts, forklifts, scissor lifts, cranes etc.Complete paperwork accurately and in a timely manner as required by the manufacturing processesQualificationsHigh School graduate or GED Technical School a plusA basic knowledge of manufacturing practices is requiredAble to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situationsWelding, soldering and brazing experience or certification a plusFork Truck Drivers License a plusHSE All employees have the responsibility to work in a safe manner and report any health, safety or environmental concern to their manager or supervisor in a timely manner.Employee responsibilities for Health, Safety and Environment include:Work in compliance with divisional health, safety and environmental proceduresRefrain from removing or altering safety devices or guarding unless hazardous energies are controlled through lockout-tagout methodsReport any unsafe conditions or unsafe actsReport defect in any equipment or protective deviceEnsure that the required protective equipment is used for the assigned tasksAttend all required health, safety and environmental trainingReport any accidents/incidents to supervisorAssist in investigating accidents/incidentsRefrain from engaging in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running or rough and boisterous conductWhy Scientific Products?
