Job Title: Mechanical AssemblerJob DescriptionCandidates will be working in the Pre Assembly department with small nuts, bolts, screws, and some power tools. You will use tape measures, follow basic blueprints/drawings, and may be asked to paint materials, put netting/wrapping around final units, and inspect for flaws in assembly or final manufacturing. Flexibility is key as you could be expected to move departments and use various tools, including hand tools, power tools, saws, and silicone caulking guns.ResponsibilitiesUse tape measures and follow basic blueprints/drawings unassisted.Paint the ends of materials, put netting/wrapping around final units, and inspect for flaws in assembly or manufacturing.Move between departments as needed, using tools such as hand tools, power tools, saws, and silicone caulking guns.Meet production goals for the day and overall production targets.Be cross-trained in various areas and be flexible in learning different parts of the process.Work with large pieces of glass/sheet metal, standing and walking for an 8-hour shift.Retrieve materials from the yard and perform unit testing in the testing booth.Perform material handling or cleaning tasks if materials are held up.Essential SkillsMechanical aptitude and ability to proficiently read a tape measure.Minimum 6 months of experience in an assembly role.Proficiency in hand and power tool usage.Experience in construction or home improvement is ideal.Ability to follow instructions and a positive, can-do attitude.Additional Skills & QualificationsComputer skills are a plus.Flexibility to perform various tasks as needed.Great listening skills.Work EnvironmentYou will work in a non-climate controlled facility with loud machines and a busy manufacturing environment. The team works with large pieces of glass, sheet metal, and other materials. Shifts are from 7 am to 3:30 pm, with mandatory overtime when needed.
