Utilizing Bills of Materials gathers and assembles mechanical components into subassemblies and final products to meet specifications Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, specifications, and parts lists Gather parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials Assemble components according to drawings and samples in linkage assemblies Verify specifications by identifying and measuring components Operate power and hand tools, drills press, and torque wrenches as needed Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area Offer suggestions for improvement and product development Report errors/issues to supervisorMechanical linkage assembly experience Ability to identify, count components by type, part descriptions and measurements Ability to read measuring tools including tape measure and gauges Experience working on production environment using power and hand tools Excellent manual dexterity Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift 75 pounds Learn to use assigned machinery and tools Use of appropriate PPE (Safety Glasses, Steel Toe Shoes, Gloves, Clothing As Directed)Pay Rate: $18-$21/hr.Send resume to ...@labor.ny.gov. with Mechanical Assembler in the subject line.Asylum seekers are encouraged to apply!
