We are a commercial air conditioning and refrigeration compressor re-manufacturing company that has been in business since 1990. We actively meet commercial and industrial compressor needs for commercial air conditioning and refrigeration contractors, hospitals, financial institutions, universities, school districts, military bases, retail outlets, hotels, marine, chemical plants, and many other industries. We have risen above industry standards to consistently produce quality remanufactured compressors in each of our locations throughout the Southeastern U.S. We remanufacture a full line of reciprocating A/C and refrigeration compressors, screw A/C and refrigeration compressors, and provide new scroll compressors and heat exchangers.

Job Overview & Conditions
  • This job is responsible for receiving and breaking down old compressors so they can be re-assembled (or retro-fitted) with new, working sub-components, painted & labeled, tested and provided to our valued customers.
  • Working conditions are manufacturing/industrial environment. Work involves lifting of materials and/or product up to 50 pounds; operators use commercial hoses to clean the top/bottom of fin fans or as directed with foam application. Operations requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to include but not limited to; eye safety goggles, steel-toed work boots, hardhats, and gloves.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Must be proficient with hand & power tools (wrenches, ratchets, air guns, Metric vs. English etc.) and their use; must be very familiar with using tools to dis-assemble or re-assemble compressors and compressor sub-components.
  • Responsible for disassembling old compressors and organizing into sub-components to be scrapped based upon material, or cleaned and re-used for remanufacturing purposes
  • Responsible for ensuring all parts, accessories, work stations and tools are cleaned, serviceable, and ready for operations
  • Responsible for ensuring for the shop is clean and not cluttered with parts, accessories, pallets, or any other supporting materials
  • Responsible for assembling sub-components in accordance with compressor builds or specifications provided.
  • Other duties as dictated by Supervisor or Company Leadership

  • Must have an aptitude for mechanical systems (i.e. working on cars, motors, engines etc.)

  • Able to understand our operations and demonstrate initiative to accomplish necessary supporting tasks without being told
  • Maintain safe work practices at all times / represent the company in a professional and respectful manner while on and off the job site

  • Report to all required drug and alcohol testing appointments within 24 hours of notification
  • Report to work on time

Requirements / Preferences
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Knowledge of how to use tools /mechanical aptitude (for example, enjoys working on cars etc.) heavily preferred
  • Valid Driver's License/Identification and have all valid US documentation supporting your ability to work in the US
  • Must be able to lift at least 75 lbs
  • Must be able to pass English Competency Test
  • Bi-Lingual (Spanish/English) preferred
  • Able to operate a sit-down, propane forklift preferred (1-2 years of experience)
