Job Summary Mechanically inclined individual required for assembly of components used in the power distribution industry. The desired candidate should have good problem solving skills and be able to work with minimal supervision. The position involves the assembly and soldering of a diverse array of products requiring an equally diverse array of assembly techniques. In addition to the assembly of these products disassembly, documentation, testing and inspection may occasionally be required. This position will appeal to the individual who likes to work with their hands, appreciates a mechanical challenge, wishes to avoid repetitive daily tasks and is interested in taking part in defining and refining the processes being utilized.
Responsibilities
Read drawings and written instructions
Record measurements if necessary
Assist in development of assembly and disassembly procedures
Work independently
Soldering of copper and similar materials
Qualifications
Mechanical aptitude
Good communication skills
Knowledge of milling and turning is a bonus
