We have an immediate opening for a Mechanical Assembly Technician to work in our advanced manufacturing assembly department based out of the Hopkinton, MA location. This is a full-time role, Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm. This position will be responsible for the build and assembly of precision machinery, automation systems, and motion control systems.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Mechanical assembly of devices requiring precision alignments and metrologySoldering of small gauge wires (28-36 gauge)Using a microscope for precision alignments and soldering of small devicesInterpreting mechanical and technical product drawings and documentationAbility to use standard office applications (Word, Excel, Email)Skills and RequirementsAbility to complete complex mechanical assembly tasks and precision metrology measurementsModerate soldering experience, J-STD-001 preferredFamiliarity with precision mechanical alignments, tools and techniquesCan use multi-meters, wire strippers, and standard assembly and metrology toolsAbility to complete assembly and metrology records for regulatory and QC requirementsUse 5S and Lean principles in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environmentStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to multi-task and prioritize workEducation High school diploma or equivalent requiredAssociate degree or technical certificate in a related field preferredWhat We Provide:Blue Cross Blue Shield of MA PPO medical plan with HSADental and vision insuranceLTD & Life insurance401k with a generous company matchPI (Physik Instrumente), LP is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities.
