Job Overview

Systems Control is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer Co-op to become a part of our Integrated Substation Solutions team - January-May 2025. As a Mechanical Design Engineer Co-op, you will support Design, Manufacturing, and Engineering Teams in our world-class facility. A Day In The Life

* Work with Project Management and Drafting to design products.

* Create standard drawings.

* Assist in design verification testing, documentation, and reporting.

* Provide manufacturing support for specific customers and/or production areas.

* Assist in implementing design changes and communicate requirements to all impacted groups.

* Identify potential improvements to products.

What will help you thrive in this role?

* Pursuing a B.S Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field. Completed 4+ Semesters preferred.

* Experience using 3D modeling software (Creo preferred), 2D AutoCAD and MS Office Suite

* Knowledgeable in Engineering Mechanics, Strengths of Materials, Welding, and other manufacturing processes

* Must be a team player, creative, and have strong hands on mechanical knowledge

* Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills

* Proficient written and oral communication skills

* Ability to work on multiple projects at one time
