We are seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Stony Point, NY.This individual will be responsible for supporting existing products throughout their life cycle andcontributing to the design and detailing of new products.Responsibilities:Concept modeling in 3D and 2DDocumenting design intent on 2D drawings, ensuring parametric requirements are maintained.Performing tolerance stack-up analysisVerifying material selection/process is fit for use/functionSupporting existing product design changesCreating 3D models and assemblies accompanied by manufacturing, assembly, and installation documentationSkills & Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)2 to 5 years of experience with 3D modeling and drafting (SolidWorks and AutoCAD preferred)Experience in SolidWorks rendering is a plusWorking knowledge of Good Documentation PracticesExperience entering Bills of Materials (BOMs)Work Environment:Onsite position in Stony Point, NYBusiness casual dress codeAbout ActalentActalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
