Mechanical Design EngineerYou will have obtained a BS in Acoustical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis on acoustics, or other equivalent field of study, and will have a minimum of 2 years experience in industry. Your Challenge - Operate and maintain an industry leading data acquisition system for structure borne, fluid borne and airborne vibration and noise
- Compare collected noise data to allowable limits, identify deficiencies, and make meaningful suggestions to resolve overages
- Make design phase contributions resulting in quieter production equipment
- Develop customer compliant ordering data to support part procurement
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, reports, and specifications
- Perform Engineering Analysis for non-conforming material and obtain customer approval
- Support EPD's Manufacturing Floor: Assembly and Test
- Write Engineering Test Reports and Procedures for Customer Approval
- Other duties as time and initiative for career growth permit
What You Bring - Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (acoustical or mechanical preferred with minimum 2 years experience
- Experience with Rotating Machinery or Complex Assemblies Preferred
- Material Processing Knowledge (Machining and Fabrication)
- Knowledge of Industry Standards (Military, ASTM, SAE, etc.)
- Proficiency with a Solid Modeling Program (SolidWorks Preferred)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Self-starter, motivated, and action-oriented individual able to excel in an environment with individual accountability
