This engineer will share a passion for mentoring and developing while leading project designs with our clients in the Healthcare, Federal and Public Buildings and Water Resources industries.
Role Requirements: - Mechanical Design Engineer with 7+ years of experience in the field of Healthcare, Federal and Public Buildings and Water Resources design.
- PE License preferred, but not required.
- Experienced in HVAC Design and Plumbing Design.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred, but not required.
- Proficiency in design software to develop the design deliverables. Must be skilled in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Proficient with Building load calculations, system design and layouts.
- Technical understanding of Mechanical Codes, Plumbing codes, and ASHRAE design standards.
- Thrives in a work environment where one collaborates with other team members (Project Managers, Engineers, and Designers) in a multi-discipline project team environment to resolve appropriate design or drawing issues and accomplish objectives.
- Must possess excellent communication skills, professional writing skills and the ability to multi-task between several projects and priorities at one time.
- Candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Some travel required for building surveys and construction administration.
- Valid Driver's License is required.
Day-to-Day Job Responsibilities: - Project lead design engineer for mechanical, HVAC and plumbing system.
- Addressing construction RFI's and review of equipment submittals.
- Communication and coordination with multi-disciplinary groups.
- Opportunity to mentor and lead younger engineers / designers
