We are currently seeking a Mechanical - Energy Engineer to join our Advanced Energy/Generation & Energy Management Team from any of the following CHA office locations: Rochester, NY; Albany, NY; Parsippany, NJ; or Boston, MA.

CHA believes our employees should have the time and flexibility to balance work and personal commitments. This role provides the option of a hybrid schedule with a work week that includes both office and work from home days.

The Mechanical - Energy Engineer conducts the design development, implementation, and technical analysis of technical various systems to implement new products, or changes to an existing scheme, to suit individual client needs. The professional in this role works on multiple projects in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet client, contractual and company requirements.

The Mechanical - Energy Engineer monitors progress and performance against the project plan and acts immediately to resolve operational problems and minimize delays, as well as recognizes technical discrepancies in analytical results, and makes appropriate corrections. This individual identifies, develops, and gathers technical resources necessary to complete assignments.

REQUIREMENTS
    Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related required
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
  • Minimum 3 years' related engineering experience required
  • Demonstrates a strong working knowledge of the respective engineering field as well as proven ability to practically apply it in a professional environment
  • Proficient in engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
  • Understands QA/QC procedures
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
  • Desire to work in a collaborative team environment with the willingness to assist more senior staff
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software required
  • Participation in a professional engineering society/organization preferred
