A collaborative, dynamic, creative, deep thinking and technically intelligent professional is being sought to provide hands-on mechanical engineering expertise to their engineering team and client sites. This p osition is responsible for technical support, effectively working through assembly challenges, and providing improvement ideas to products after working on machines in the field. The client is most interested in candidates who are comfortable with working with mechanical parts, interfacing with electro-mechanical systems, and interfacing with SolidWorks. The roles require practical thinking around all aspects of engineered solutions. If your career has taken you to a hands-off team leadership role or if that is what you want your next assignment to be, you are not the right candidate for this job. The best candidates meet these minimum requirements:
  • Must have legal permission to work in the U.S. and have a valid passport.
  • Degree from a four-year secondary education program.
  • Five years experience in the areas of Design, Integration, Machine Manufacturing, Parts Engineering, Mechanical Systems, or Equipment Development. Some expertise in the automation of mechanical systems is required.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks) .
  • Understanding of Electro -Mechanical Systems.
  • Experience writing technical reports .
  • Project management experience.
  • Candidates must present cases of past successful projects and samples of past technical reports.
  • Local to the office in Hawthorne, NY. Relocation is not authorized for this position.
The following candidate attributes are preferred:
  • Experience in equipment design preferred including design, machining, and manufacturing.
  • Multi-lingual (Spanish, German, French beneficial.)
