Are you a creative, innovative, and dedicated Mechanical Engineer with a passion for design? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We're seeking a Permanent Mechanical Engineer (Design) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be working on groundbreaking projects, transforming ideas into reality, and making a significant impact on our business. Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and evaluate mechanical and thermal devices or systems, using complex engineering principles.
- Design and implement cost-effective equipment modifications to help improve safety, reliability, and throughput.
- Work closely with other engineers, production staff, managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the design meets the necessary criteria.
- Create detailed designs and specifications for mechanical equipment or systems using CAD software.
- Use computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-assisted engineering (CAE) software to create prototypes.
- Analyze the test results and change the design or system as needed.
- Oversee the manufacturing process for the device or system.
- Estimate cost limits and budgets for new designs.
- Supervise the work of technicians and provide them with technical advice.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in machine design, preferably in the paper industry.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and other relevant software.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and construction methods.
- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
