Job ResponsibilitiesOur client, a leading engineering and design consulting firm, is currently seeking a Staff Mechanical Engineer to perform the following, but not limited to:Experience in the design of mechanical/HVAC systems as well as sizing and selection of building mechanical equipment such as air handlers, chillers, boilers, pumps, fans, and terminal devicesAbility to perform numerous engineering calculations including but not limited to HVAC load and ventilation air calculations, psychometrics, pipe flow/pressure drop, and ductwork static pressureProficiency in the use of building load calculation software such as Trane Trace requiredExperience developing building energy models is desirable but not requiredKnowledge of industry codes and standards utilized in MEP industry (ASHRAE, ICC Codes, NFPA, SMACNA, etc.)Proficiency in AutoCAD required and Revit/BIM experience highly desiredExperience or familiarity with Microstation desired but not requiredAbility to develop and write equipment/project specificationsFamiliarity with the design of plumbing systems is a bonusStrong interpersonal skills as position requires not only interaction with internal team members but also clients, vendors, and contractorsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsJob RequirementsRequired Attributes:Required Experience: 1 to 7 yearsBachelor s Degree in Mechanical EngineeringFamiliarity with functionality and election of industrial-type power equipment such as boilers, chillers, cooling towers and air compressorsComputer skills required: Standard MS Office Applications, AutoCAD, REVIT/BIMPreferred Attributes:PE/EIT Preferred but not requiredKnowledge and understanding of psychometricsAbility to write technical documents in a clear and understandable mannerFamiliarity with applicable ASHRAE standards for HVAC and Building Energy Efficiency design and SME B31.3 piping code***All Qualified Candidates, please contact: Jake Zug ***Phone: 302-###-####Email resume to: ...@synerfac.com
