Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a direct hire opportunity in the greater Fort Wayne area. Our client is an industry leader offering a highly competitive salary and excellent benefit package.Job DescriptionCoordinate all activities and improvements related to mechanical equipment.Responsibilities

• Lead projects to improve safety, quality, and throughput
• Plan and oversee the budget, vendor selection, design, construction, installation, and signoff of new equipment
• Source and manage contractors to ensure work is performed safely, timely, and completely
• Train production and maintenance teams on new equipment
• Troubleshoot day to day equipment problems with maintenance and production teams as needed
• Identify causes of equipment downtime and implement corrective actions to prevent it from happening again
• Work with maintenance to implement PMs on equipment
• Review and set critical spare part quantities for new equipment
• Update layouts and mechanical prints as needed

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent on the job experience
