Our client, a nationwide food manufacturer, has an immediate need for an experienced Mechanical Engineer, to join their winning team in Angola.Qualifications, skills, and all relevant experience needed for this role can be found in the full description below.Our candidate of choice will plan, direct, develop and coordinate activities concerned with design, construction, and modification of equipment and machinery. You will be responsible for the diagnosis and troubleshooting of all equipment plus must have strong knowledge of canning, thermal processing, form/fill packaging machinery, automatic case packing and processing/ blending equipment in order to maximize production capacity/efficiency.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Prepares design sketches, layouts, and schematics as part of a design team.Establish a Preventive Maintenance program to insure effective performance.Knowledge of Thermal processing for a food production facility.Experience in cost manufacturing.Selects raw materials and components; develops specifications for products.Develops cost estimates based on specifications.Perform stress test, analyzes data, prepare reports, and makes comparisons with similar proven designs.To advance the organization in the use and understanding of Six Sigma(data base decision making)Prepares preliminary and detailed design drawings using Auto CAD or Pro/Engineer CAD package and directs the work of the designers, drafters, and `technicians as required KEY REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (M.S.M.E. preferred) or equivalent engineering education.5 plus years of directly related experienceSolid knowledge of the Auto CAD system.Good mechanical, analytical, and technical skillsAbility to multi-task and balance priorities while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.Please apply today to be one of the first people considered for this position!Elgen Staffing is the fastest growing staffing agency in New Jersey.
