Position Summary:
We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join an industrial manufacturing company specializing in automated machinery. This role involves overseeing the entire product development process, from initial concept through to production, with an emphasis on designing and optimizing electro-mechanical products.
Responsibilities:
- Lead design projects, including the development of new products and enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide updates on project progress to senior management.
- Effectively manage multiple projects while negotiating cost-effective solutions with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on existing machinery and systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Oversee prototyping, testing, and assembly of samples.
- Innovate and conceptualize new products based on market demands and trends.
- Develop and document testing plans, coordinating prototype assembly with external vendors.
- Create and revise 3D CAD models and drawings, ensuring design optimization and manufacturability.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, specifically in industrial machinery or automation.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
- Experience with FEA and thermal analysis/CFD software.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, and injection molding.
- Experience in project management and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of Lean methodologies, including continuous improvement practices.
- Experience with robotics is a plus.
- Understanding of electrical circuits and control systems is advantageous.
