Everything they do is focused on improving outcomes related to productivity, cost, durability, and safe operations. Their drive is to keep innovations as simple as possible and with low implementation costs. They are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer in their Houston, TX location.The Mechanical Engineer collaborates with Lead Engineer with the development of new hardware, combining engineering principles and creativity. The candidate proposes modifications and solutions to problems with existing and new designs within the mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical areas. You will perform various engineering calculations including stress analysis. In the field, the engineer will perform execution of the company's services including reactor maintenance, tray installation inspections, and catalyst loading inspections.Essential duties and responsibilities- Complete engineering and manufacturing drawings in Autodesk Inventor- Perform engineering calculations as required- Perform finite element analysis as needed- Assist in building and testing prototypes using hand/power tools- Train new employees and or contractors on new products/machines- Travel to client sites and interface with clients to provide technical support- Compile site reports and data using Microsoft Word and Excel- Perform other work-related tasks as assignedBase salary, plus great benefits and a 401k. A company vehicle is provided for travel to customer sites and per diem.40% overnight travel.
