Our client is a high-tech business focusing on software and hardware system integration, cutting-edge research and development, and manufacturing. A Senior Adv Mechanical Engineer position just opened in Middletown, Rhode Island with our DOD - aerospace defense client. Note: Due to the nature of work all candidates must be US Citizens Location: Middletown, Rhode Island 02842 (Hybrid) Position: Senior Adv Mechanical Engineer Pay Rate: $66.85/hr Duration: 12-24 months with possibility of going direct Work schedule: 9/80 Clearance: Secret Obtainable Job Description As a mechanical engineer for the Tactical Hardware business area, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for designing, building, and testing a torpedo tube deployment system capable of launching payloads from a submarine platform. We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: Design of electro-mechanical systems capable of surviving harsh environmental conditions (shock, vibration, temperature); Proficiency utilizing CAD tools to create 3D models and drawings for technical data packages that meet ASME Y14.5 and ASME Y14.100 standards; Experience performing structural and thermal analyses to meet submarine environmental requirements. Requirements : Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience. Clearance Requirements : Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
