Job DescriptionWe have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team in North Wales, PA. This role involves providing engineering leadership from initial concept design through production transition for engineered mechanical products such as cable controls, cockpit controls, latches, hold open rods, and remote operated valves. Responsibilities to include:
- Provide engineering leadership to the Mechanical Solution Team, including supervision and assignment of engineering resources.
- Identify process and product improvements, including root cause and corrective action investigations for new and legacy products, and implement changes.
- Oversee non-conforming material handling and engineering disposition of material (MRB).
- Review customer contracts and purchase orders, and plan for all required engineering activities.
- Provide oversight of mechanical engineering activities, including design, configuration management, and testing.
- Prepare component specifications, design inputs, and engineering reports.
- Assist management in tracking schedule and budget commitments.
Qualifications- BS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- 8-12 years of related experience, including work with cable controls, cockpit controls, latches, hold open rods, remote operated valves, or aerospace systems.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to read and understand complex mechanical detail parts and assembly drawings.
- Experience in operation management or manufacturing engineering.
- Experience in leading product development teams.
- Strong technical communication skills, both written and verbal.
Work EnvironmentThis role is based in North Wales, PA. It involves working in a dynamic and collaborative environment, utilizing various technologies and equipment related to mechanical engineering. The position may require occasional travel.
