Cimarron is seeking a skilled and experienced Facility Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Chantilly, VA and Springfield, VA.Key Duties:Oversee the design and installation of various mechanical systems in facility construction projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to develop efficient mechanical designs that meet project requirements, codes, and standards.Conduct site assessments to evaluate existing mechanical systems and identify potential upgrade or improvement opportunities.Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for mechanical systems.Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to ensure the timely delivery of materials and equipment, as well as manage installation and testing processes.Perform technical calculations and analysis to verify the effectiveness of mechanical systems and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during construction.Conduct periodic inspections of mechanical systems to ensure compliance with specifications and applicable codes.Review and evaluate equipment submittals, RFIs, and change orders, providing necessary feedback and recommendations.Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and regulations related to facility mechanical systems to ensure projects are executed in compliance with current standards.Required/Desired Skills, Experience, and EducationRequired Skills, Experience, and Education:Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph clearance.Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting general facility construction projects, particularly in overseeing mechanical systems.Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant engineering software.Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.Familiarity with applicable codes and standards, such as ASHRAE, NFPA, and local regulations.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with project stakeholders.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:15 or more years of related experience.Business Profile:Cimarron is a global solutions company with a strategic partnering approach to satisfying customer-driven requirements.
