Your new role As our new Mechanical Engineer, Energy Systems Your key responsibilities will be:
- Prepare engineering designs and technical calculations related to mechanical system found in central heating and cooling plants including boilers, chillers, pumps, controls, and related ancillary systems.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to produce design drawings and details associated with multidisciplinary engineering projects.
- Develop an understanding of heating and cooling mechanical systems (chilled water, hydronic hot water, and steam) utilized in large thermal distribution systems.
- Conducting on-site fieldwork as required to develop a comprehensive package of technical drawings and specifications.
- Maintain routine contact with the client during the study, design, and construction phases of a project
- Undertake research, investigation, and preparation of technical reports and memos to define projects and provide clients with technical direction.
- Provide support for construction projects, including cost estimating, construction phasing/scheduling, site inspections, punch list development, and shop drawing review.
- Develop a familiarity of industry codes and standards and develop code analysis reports. Code knowledge would include NFPA, ASME, ANSI Standards, energy code, and building code.

These include:
- B.S. / B.E. (or higher) in Mechanical, Marine, or Facilities Engineering
- 0-3 years of experience in the consulting industry
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability and desire to obtain professional registration (FE and PE)
- Strong computer skills in the Microsoft Office suite of programs
- Some exposure, preferable working experience, with Revit MEP
- Proficiency in other engineer software; to include HAP, Pipeflow, Caesar, Trane Trace
