Function/designation:
Mechanical Engineer
Responsibility:
• Responsible for ensuring the implementation, performance, and compliance of the QMS for Hailo Wind Systems-supplied equipment.
• Support continuous improvement for process optimization, product quality and reliability.
• Responsible for internal quality compliance on the production floor and Service Field technicians.
• Provide after-sales technical support to internal and external customers for the lifecycle of high-level access products, including Service lifts, ladder-guided platforms, Climb-assist systems, fall arrest systems, and climb ladders.
• Responsible for customer complaints and NCRs and led the internal resolution of nonconforming parts for proper initial disposition and root cause, corrective action, and follow-up preventive actions.
• Responsible for APQP4Wind implementation and submission to customers.
• Generate Supplier NCRs and forward them to the Procurement team for resolution.
Tasks:
• Provide input on quality standards and procedures. Work within an ISO 9000 quality system and produce and maintain documentation as per QMS. Maintain compliance with work instructions, standard practices, policies, and procedures.
• Monitor and analyze quality performance and share timely reports with management.
• Develop workflows, processes, and work instructions.
• Review client specifications and work with teams for FPQ, APQP, MPP, PPAP, and third-party certifications.
• Diagnose manufacturing, engineering, customer, and supplier issues that affect the warranty, first-time quality, and first-time acceptance, and provide input for implementing APQP.
• Support the resolution of Dimensional Issues. Coach and mentor the production staff to identify and react appropriately to non-conforming dimensional data.
• Generate Supplier NCRs.
• Review customer complaints and NCRs and lead the internal resolution of nonconforming parts for proper initial disposition and root cause follow-up.
• Developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvements. Lead the investigation of quality complaints from customers or vendors; perform RCA, 8-D analysis.
• Assist production in implementing corrective and preventive actions to prevent defect occurrence and recommend process changes.
• Collaborate and support peers across functions to achieve enterprise continuous improvement objectives.
• Champion the continued development and implementation of the 5S methodology on the production floor.
• Provide technical support to the field service technician teams.
• Ensure the quality of maintenance and inspections perform by the field service technicians. Create new procedures and maintain required company documentation and maintenance records.
• Recommend and evaluate process & equipment improvements.
• If needed, provide hands-on technical support, diagnostics, and troubleshooting functions to manufacturing operations.
• Perform other related activities as requested.
Experience:
• Minimum three years of experience in mechanical/quality/manufacturing.
• Experience with hydraulics, motors, and controls is preferred.
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is preferred.
Qualification:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or equivalent from a four-year college or university
• ISO 9001:2015 experience desired
• Knowledge of production processes, quality control concepts, RCA and 8D reports.
• Proficiency with MS Office Software.
