JOB DUTIES
- Evaluate, estimate and optimize the mechanical engineering and design/development process for precious metal products.
- Develop mechanical engineering tools and systems to ensure the quoting and estimating process maximizes efficiency and effectiveness.
- Coordinate reviews and assist with the completion of mechanical engineering feasibility documents for new business opportunities.
- Participate in new product development engineering activities.
- Plan, organize and develop new engineering product requests for quotes (RFQs).
- Coordinate the Supply Chain Management and Suppliers to establish material engineering costs.
- Coordinate reviews and assist with completion of mechanical engineering production process planning.
- Assist with engineering financial and business analysis initiatives.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must possess at least a master's degree or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and at least 3 years of experience as a Sales Process or Product Engineer or in a related role.
- In the alternative, at least a bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and at least 5 years of progressive experience as a Sales Process or Product Engineer or in a related role would be acceptable.
- Must possess at least 3 years of experience working in an engineering position within the automotive industry;
- Must possess at least 3 years of experience with spring design and manufacturing of springs, including ASD;
- Must possess at least 3 years of experience with CAD; and
- Must possess at least 1 years of experience working with quality testing equipment.
