Qualifications:

We are seeking qualified professionals with the following:

  • Experience: A minimum of 7 years in the architecture/engineering field specializing in mechanical (HVAC) design.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Licensure: New York State Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD software for developing HVAC designs.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with the International Building Code is essential.
  • Preferred Experience: Project management or team management experience is a plus.
  • Additional Requirements: U.S. citizenship and potential security background checks, depending on client needs.

Responsibilities:

The position includes the following key responsibilities:

  • Designing and developing mechanical HVAC components for building projects.
  • Assessing existing project conditions and overseeing field measure-ups.
  • Collaborating with clients to define project objectives and resources.
  • Conducting code analysis and ensuring compliance in project designs.
  • Managing project scope, budgets, and schedules related to engineering tasks.
  • Developing Revit models based on plans, surveys, and existing documentation, while coordinating with project teams.
  • Preparing engineering documents, calculations, and specifications using CADD and HVAC design software.
  • Selecting materials, equipment, and other design components.
  • Performing technical reviews and coordination checks for project documents.
  • Preparing project specifications and quantity take-offs for estimates.
  • Staying updated on current mechanical codes and standards.
  • Reviewing submittals during the construction phase.
  • Conducting site visits during construction to ensure compliance with design documents.
