Mechanical Engineer (Manufacturing) RequirementsKey Responsibilities
- Perform a full lifecycle product development (design, develop, test prototypes, manufacture and implement) for capital equipment product lines and subassemblies
- Design systems and components that meet custom needs and requirements specific to customers
- Conduct experiments methodically, analyze data and interpret results
- Quickly identify, formulate and produce effective solutions to emerging problems
- Alter and modify design to meet requirements and to eliminate malfunctions
- Solicit observations from operators, customers, vendors, marketing
- Prepare product reports and documentation
- Maintain Bill of Materials, work instructions and assembly drawings in parallel to each other
- Engage in lifelong learning and develop new theories or methods
- Protects operations by keeping information confidential.
- Participate in product design reviews
- Provide assistance to Technical Support and Service personnel.
Technical Skills:
- Proven working experience in mechanical engineering
- Ability to independently become familiar with issues, prioritize responsibilities and drive solutions without direct supervision
- Proficiency in 3D engineering design and manufacturing tools (Inventor preferred)
- Solid understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science etc.
- Working experience with fluid dynamics, finite element analysis (FEA), magnetic and thermal modeling a plus
- Hands-on technical experience with fabrication, mechanical assembly and wiring a plus
- Hands-on experience with Enterprise Product Data Management (EPDM) highly desirable
- Creativity and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner
- Must have good organizational & troubleshooting skills.
- Computer skills to include Microsoft Office products- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
Education Requirements:BSME or equivalent Bachelor's degree required.
